Why This Website?
This website provides psychoeducation on
trauma for reproductive endocrinologists and fertility specialists. The site includes clinical guidelines for trauma-informed infertility care that are easy to understand and implement .
Why this Research?
There is a large body of research dedicated to understanding and treating the psychological stress associated with infertility treatment. Unfortunately, the majority of this research is focused on the physical and psychological toll of the treatment itself resulting from the years of exposure to the process. Meanwhile, research on the effects of treatment for women who already have PTSD prior to seeking infertility treatment is virtually nonexistent.
